Suffolk Bull Moose Rugby Football Club (RFC) is based out of Suffolk County but plays in and around the Tri-State area fielding both a Senior Men and Senior Women's team as part of the Metropolitan New York (MetNY) Rugby Football Union. The MetNY Union governs more than 80 men's and women's clubs, college, high school and youth rugby teams in the Metropolitan New York City region, covering parts of Connecticut, New Jersey and New York.
We began as a men’s summer social team in 2002. In 2003, the team expanded to a full 15's side and played their first competitive matches. Currently, the Suffolk Bull Moose Men’s Rugby team competes in Division III against several teams including Hudson Valley, Gotham Knights, and Old Maroon Football Rugby Club.
The men’s and women’s teams together are a competitive and evolving rugby club that values hard work, dedication, as well as team camaraderie. Suffolk Bull Moose RFC plays year round and has both home games on Long Island and away games spreading throughout the North Eastern region.
