Suffolk Women vs Irish Rugby 03-16-2013

After the trek to Philly, Bull Moose started their 1 PM kick-off playing in snow, hail, and ice. Within the first 10 minutes they lost one player to hypothermia, it startled the players, being concerned for their teammate, but they continued to play hard. In just the first half Irish Rugby started strong scoring two tries with one conversion. At the half the score was 12-0, with Irish Rugby in the lead. Being a strong second half team, Bull Moose came back with some swag of their own. Within the first 10 minutes Alex Mostrom kicked the ball down the field, caught it and ran 50 yards to the try zone to score. She then continued to kick the conversion and put another two points on the score board.  About two minutes after Alex’s try, the ball was brought down yet again to the try zone by Bull Moose and there was a penalty awarded to Bull Moose. Chelsea Ahearn-Feketa runs up to the ball in a trick play and crashes the ball into the try zone for Bull Moose’s second try. Alex takes the conversion and scores.  Irish Rugby scores another try along with a conversion. But then to everyone’s surprise just as Irish Rugby was about to score another try, Alex grabbed the ball and bolted down the field for yet another try. And lastly, Chelsea did what she does best and crashed the ball over the try line again, and Alex made the conversion. Irish Rugby scored one more time along with a conversion and that ended the game with the final score being  26-26! Great start to the season!
